Repair Procedure

ESTIMATE
One of our estimators will walk out to your car with you, asking about the damage, taking pictures and looking for details about how much damage was caused by the accident. This data is entered into a computer system to determine the cost of repair. However, there is often hidden damage that can not be seen until the car is dismantled.
Estimate
INSURANCE APPROVAL
Once the estimate is complete, it is sent to the insurance company.
Usually an assessor will inspect either the pictures or the vehicle.
There may be some negotiation on the price and procedure if the vehicle is deemed repairable. once this process is complete and we have authority to commence repairs, we will schedule the vehicle into the workshop for repairs.
Insurance Approval
PARTS ORDERING
The parts required for the repairs are ordered and availability checked. In many cases, parts are not available in W.A. and so there can be waiting times for delivery from the Eastern States or even Over Seas. The repairs can not commence until all parts are received.
DISASSEMBLY
During the disassembly of the vehicle, hidden damage and parts are often found. This can necessitate the need for re-inspection by the insurer and extra parts to be ordered.
STRUCTURAL REPAIR
Structural repairs require specialist equipment and expertise to put back to factory specifications. There can be minor delays in waiting for specialist equipment to be free from other repairs under way.
BODY REPAIRS
The shape of the vehicle comes back to life as panel replacement and repairs are completed.
PAINT
Paint preparation is a critical step in the refinishing process. All repaired or replaced panels are are prepared for priming and sealing for the top and final coats of paint to be applied
RE-ASSEMBLING
When the paint process is complete, the vehicle is re-assembled. This process is the final stage of repair before the vehicle becomes drivable.
MECHANICAL REPAIRS
The vehicle must now undergo it's mechanical repairs. This can be simply air condition re-gassing or wheel alignment through to suspension replacement or electronic repairs.
DETAILING
We are nearly there. During the repair process the vehicle accumulates dust and therefor will require a thorough clean. It is then that any minor fitment or paint blemishes will be found and rectified.
FINAL INSPECTION
The vehicle now undergoes it's final inspection and test drive. If it passes all inspection points, the owner will be notified that it is ready for collection.
COMPLETION
When the customer comes to pick up the vehicle, all excesses and private accounts will be paid and then they will be taken to the vehicle to explain the repairs and answer any questions necessary.
The customer will then drive away in their vehicle in a pre-accident condition.

We're not pulling your leg

The repair looks good... but is it? If your vehicle is not repaired using the latest technology, you run the risk of a poor quality repair, resulting in possible safety issues and low resale value.
